Records Thesaurus Manager
Senior Officer Grade C $75,603 - $81,516, Canberra (PN: 17816) Closing
Date: 31 January 2008
Duties: This position requires a qualified archivist, information or
records manager with knowledge of ACT administrative practices to assist
the ACT Government agencies develop, maintain and manage the whole of
government (WHoG) thesaurus made up of the 17 common and many specific
functional thesauri. The WHoG thesaurus forms the basis of the core and
specific records disposal schedules and also supports automated file
request form system. The Records Thesaurus Manager will be required to
assist in the development and maintenance of emerging records disposal
schedules in consultation with agencies. The position is also
responsible for the whole of government records contractors and
consultants panel contract, and for providing secretariat support to the
Territory Records Advisory Council (TRAC). TRAC is a Council that is
appointed to represent the ACT community and consider the records
disposal schedules with a view to representing interests for longer
retention periods.
