Archivist - three days per week

$66,087 p.a. plus super - pro rata

 

 

The City of Sydney is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Archivist
to join the City's Archives team.

 

The position will commence as soon as possible. It is a permanent
position, working three days per week (0.6 FTE)

 

As an archives expert you will provide professional archival services to
the Council in accordance with agreed standards and consistent with best
practice.

 

You will have a demonstrated knowledge of archival principles and
techniques and experience in a range of archival duties.

 

The position involves ensuring archival operations and outputs support
the effective use of the service by existing and potential clients,
along with providing access services for both Council and the public to
the archival records. Completing documentation and disposal tasks for
the management of the Council's archives is also required.

 

Applicants must be tertiary qualified in archives management or be able
to show proven continuing progress towards this. Demonstrated ability to
work with managers, staff, client groups, and in a small team
environment is essential.
