Please everyone look at the draft table and sumbit a feedback enquiry to have the start time altered. 8 am starts on Monday and Thursday. If you have kids then this really does concern you...

Roger,
Thankyou for your reply, however I wonder if you could enquire as to the policy of class timetabling in regards to part-time students, surely some allowance is made for other external commitments, this is after all why we are studying Part-Time. If the timetable times slotted in this draft timetable are final then I think you will find attendance numbers internally will be very low. I know I will not be able to make it.

Dear Annette
Thank you for your enquiry regarding the timetable. I regret I am unable to change the timetable.
I have attached the relevant excerpt from the Timetabling and Class Times policy.
6.1 Core timetabling hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 6pm.

I have just seen the draft timetable for the units 301045 Information Organisation and 301837 Collection Management
I noted that the lecture for Collection Management is slated to begin at 8am on Monday and the Laboratory for Information Organsation at the same time on a Thursday.
As a mature age student, I have children and other family commitments (like work) and I would find it very difficult and expensive to attend classes which begin so early. An 8am start would mean that I have to leave home at 6.30, drop my sons at before school care and then on to Uni to arrive in time as I live in Roleystone. Please please please, could the powers that be push this start time back a couple of hours, 10 is far more practical, especially considering the large number of mature aged students with children who are taking this course.
Take pity...
