Subject: [WAIN] Library Technician Vacancy / Deacons, Perth
We seek suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the full-time
position of Library Technician in the Knowledge Service Unit at Deacons
in Perth.
The primary objectives of this position are to maintain the Perth
Research Centre current awareness service and work collaboratively with
the National Research Centre team; maintain the collection including
accessioning and cataloguing; provide quality research and reference
services and assist partners and staff in using print and electronic
legal resources. Experience with DBText would be desirable.
The successful candidate will have sound experience working in a
library; hold relevant tertiary qualifications and be eligible for
associate membership of ALIA or is working towards completion of
relevant qualifications recognised by ALIA.
The successful candidate will also possess a service-oriented focus with
the ability to professionally communicate and deal with people at all
levels, including internal and external clients. He/she will possess
highly developed time management and organisational skills with the
ability to give attention to detail, to work under pressure and adhere
to tight timeframes, as well as the ability to work independently and as
a team player.
