Last chance to register - the APS Women and Psychology Interest Group is hosting an online workshop tomorrow evening, Wednesday 8 May, 6.30 – 8.30pm (AEST)
Women and Work: Strategies for workplace empowerment, equity, and inclusion
We are really excited about our first CPD event for the year. Starting with a whistlestop tour of the evolution of women's work from pre-industrial times to the present, facilitators Philippa Frances and Erica Hatfield will then unpack some of the current structural, visible, and invisible barriers to women being included, empowered, and successful in the workplace.
In breakout rooms and small groups participants will identify situations where women are typically disempowered, and consider responses and strategies to overcome disempowerment.
The workshop is designed to be helpful for us personally in our work and lives as well as providing rationales and approaches that psychologists can use with clients in therapeutic, organisational and community contexts.
If this is too short notice for you to join the workshop live, the recording will be available for 90 days afterwards, but only to those who register before 3.30pm Wednesday: https://psychology.org.au/event/24554
