Thanks for drawing this to our attention Katie ?
It's great timing, because the APS College of Community Psychologists Postgraduate Student Conference Award is now open for nominations. Details of the award are available including a link to the nomination portal (under closing date) here: https://psychology.org.au/about-us/what-we-do/awards/college/ccom/aps-college-community-psychologists-postgraduate

There are actually two exciting international Comm Psych events coming up in the next few months (sadly the abstract submission dates for both events have passed, but registrations haven't yet opened for either):
(i) This symposium being hosted by the Institute for Community Psychology Aotearoa is August 31, the day prior to the national New Zealand Psychology conference. Perfect opportunity for several days in beautiful Christchurch https://mailchi.mp/3a15701cc8fc/april-comm-pysch-updates-6235701
(ii) Then in mid-September there's the 10th International Conference in Community Psychology, this time around in Montevideo, Uruguay https://scra27.org/iccp/
Hey, why not hop from Aotearoa right across to South America?!
Ok, the College's award won't get you that far, but it will cover your student registration fee for the approved conference, plus membership of the APS and the College for the next subscription year. Funds permitting, there can be more than one recipient - the idea is to encourage student participation in the Comm Psych community, more than to reward any particular achievement. Students must be studying Community Psychology at an Australian University, normally in an APAC-accredited degree (there's only one). But consideration may be given to applicants enrolled in a research degree that is deemed to be in the field of community psychology.

So over to all you postgrad students - do yourselves a favour and get your nomination in sooner rather than later!

Types of presentations: In keeping with Community Psychology styles we welcome a variety of presentation styles at this Symposium:

Rapid Communication Poster Sessions: These sessions offer presenters an opportunity to display research findings in an exciting and visually stimulating format. Presenters speak for 5 minutes about their poster and leave 5 minutes for questions from the audience. The posters will be displayed for the day.

Pecha Kucha: 20 slides at 20 seconds per slide. This format requires the presenter to deliver twenty seconds of commentary per slide for twenty consecutive, automatically advancing slides. The total presentation time is six minutes and forty seconds. Slides cannot be halted, returned to a previously shown image, or skipped ahead. This is a fun and effective way to communicate a coherent and engaging story about what you are working on, working in, key findings, and community psychology relevance. Creative Conference Presentation: Drama, dance, spoken word poetry, song and other forms of creative presenting are welcome. If you are interested in presenting in a creative format, please let us know your preferred medium and time required (up to 15 minutes).

Traditional Conference Presentation: Presentations (15mins) should cover what you are working on or working in, your key findings or ideas to communicate, and explicitly link these to community psychology.
