This upcoming FREE gathering in hybrid format looks like a great way to launch your Community Psych PD for 2023 - those of you who tuned in to Winnifred's presentation in October as part of our Spring Carnival will be particularly excited by this next opportunity to check in with her and her awesome Social Change Lab team.

I'm in!

Oh, and Happy New Year everyone 🙂

Dear friends and colleagues,

I’m writing to invite you to a half-day event on “Peace in Queensland - 2023”. The event is to be held in hybrid format at the University of Queensland on Saturday Feb 4 from 9-1pm, and is being co-organised by Winnifred Louis from the Social Change Lab in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland, and Just Peace. Please circulate this email through your networks to interested parties.

You can register for the event if you have not already done so here: https://ems.gs/3rhg0hZezqb<http://be.psychology.org.au/ls/click?upn=xftCvoRZRbcW1HUP8zfNNAwkTVSWj9oZRZ-2B7zGxEvBf8cPUaGjS5yN-2B4Edjv4sJ1ycBD_LkNaGjuMCrzJijP9uh5w51wVkQcRLq1ZICyrjgtqsTuJ0dSQNjyFi4U9hsiqe15Q4-2Ft043iDMFXw2sUt7p-2FiwXMyppJXHSSqnCGydknRtC0KeKwWDJTZw2u2kzhqPyl6R0vPCKvu8tq8xHpAxZHNjgOnQ89TaagoXcmSUcr-2B-2Fc0LcCfer-2BwrMoEApFRDsvXv5zfCMoZQKDraMXIn5GWfwxUMvv5a4yhZvPGXTvTfnFg-3D>

Why would you attend? To build new relationships among community peace groups and peace scholars; to find new ways to work together; and to hear about some data on a representative sample of 1000 Queenslanders’ attitudes, past actions, and future intentions in relation to peace.

RSVPs are required, by 28 January 2023. All community members associated with the Peace movement in Queensland are welcome, as well as all Queensland scholars associated with peace studies. Others who are interested are also likely to be welcome – please contact Winnifred to inquire, on w.louis at psy.uq.edu.au<mailto:w.louis at psy.uq.edu.au> . Our tentative plan for the morning is pasted below.

If interested, please block out the date (Feb 4, 9am – 1pm) in your diaries, and register attendance online https://ems.gs/3rhg0hZezqb<http://be.psychology.org.au/ls/click?upn=xftCvoRZRbcW1HUP8zfNNAwkTVSWj9oZRZ-2B7zGxEvBf8cPUaGjS5yN-2B4Edjv4sJ10IGS_LkNaGjuMCrzJijP9uh5w51wVkQcRLq1ZICyrjgtqsTuJ0dSQNjyFi4U9hsiqe15Q4-2Ft043iDMFXw2sUt7p-2FiweajrTyaPbaH408PRONpGBGd6ZI9Z8LAFTBsTK-2FzVvmcFBuDx2x9mrEGcRqR7EKl5vycfXbJ4MaQyNeRqmznCAk2QHVRnfr0FuoX3fKaDIGlA-2FrF2NBWAzYhIAU5kSFbMb5YV4ojiJ-2BsmEDr3YWh-2FXY-3D>by 28 January 2023.

As noted above, the event will be hybrid, and the Zoom link will be sent out to those who register interest.

All good wishes,

Winnifred & team
