POSITION: Equity Project Officer
SALARY RANGE: $84,267 to $92,788 pa (plus 17% super)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full time (36.75 hours per week) or Part-time considered (29.4 hours per week) and continuing
LOCATION: Geelong Waterfront Campus
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working under the broad supervision of the Manager, Gender Equity the Equity Project Officer is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of equity, diversity and inclusion programs across the University, with a specific focus on Gender and LGBTIQ.
This will include:

  *   In collaboration with other members of the Gender Equity team, the SAGE Athena SWAN self-assessment team (SAT) and the Deakin LGBTIQ Community Working Group partner with Senior Staff within the University to deliver strategic equity, diversity and inclusion programs.
  *   Provide support to the LGBTIQ Community Working Group and the SAT including the planning and implementation of actions and initiatives.
  *   Provide advice on best practice in equity and inclusion in workplaces and develop and implement project plans to effect change.
  *   This role has staffing responsibilities and must therefore ensure staff and own adherence to University policies and procedures.
