 and a few drinks, catch up with each other - and meet a special guest.

Internationally respected community psychologist Professor Beth Shinn from Vanderbilt University
 http://peabody.vanderbilt.edu/bio/marybeth-shinn  is in Melbourne  as the keynote speaker
at the Victorian Homelessness Conference  at Melbourne Town Hall on Thurs 17th and Fri 18th September.
Beth is recognised as a world expert on homelessness, and has been a leading advocate for the ‘Housing First’ policy framework.
She is also one of the American Psychological Association Fellows who resigned in protest over the APA’s collusion
with the CIA’s Guantanamo Bay interrogations that is the subject of the recent Hoffmann Report.

Internationally respected community psychologist Professor Beth Shinn from Vanderbilt University is the keynote speaker at the Victorian Council to Homeless Persons 2015 Victorian Homelessness Conference at Melbourne Town Hall on Thurs 17th and Fri 18th September: details at http://chpconference.com.au/

Beth has been a leading researcher and advocate on the Housing First policy framework, and the focus at the conference will be on universal and targeted homelessness prevention interventions, and ending family homelessness.

The Council to Homeless Persons is the peak body in Victoria, representing the specialist homelessness service sector and others interested in ending homelessness.

Beth will also be meeting informally with local community psychologists on Tuesday evening, 15 September, and with Victoria University staff and students on Monday 14th - let me know by return email if you would like further details as they become available.
