Multicultural & Aboriginal Strategic Planner

Full Time, permanent, band 7, RDO

This position provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to provide leadership, policy advice and strategic direction on matters relating to supporting multiculturalism, fostering Aboriginal reconciliation, and reducing race-based discrimination.
The role includes:
·         Delivering evidence based strategic plans and social policy.
·         Managing multi-faceted projects focusing on complex and sensitive social issues.
·         Supporting cultural diversity, reducing race-based discrimination and fostering reconciliation.
·         Developing and managing multi-level partnerships.

You will have:

1.       Extensive expertise in at least one area of: multiculturalism, Aboriginal reconciliation, or reducing race-based discrimination.
2.       Tertiary level qualification
3.       Proven ability to develop social policy and strategic plans
4.       High level of project management skills
5.       Proven ability to work collaboratively with Aboriginal and culturally diverse communities
6.       High level conceptual and analytical skills and proven experience in dealing with complex and sensitive issues
7.       Highly effective interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
