Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to finally announce the launch of the new Community Psychology Australia website.
Please take some time to look at the site and to read about the diverse experiences and pathways that Community/Critical Psychologists and graduate students, as well as those who align themselves closely with Community Psychology, have taken at http://www.communitypsychologyaustralia.com.au/
We hope that the website will become a great place for networking with other Community/Critical Psychologists, both in Australia and overseas, a forum for sharing ideas, current research projects and special events, as well as for hosting webinars and developing relevant research repositories.
Over the coming year, Victoria University will also be offering its core units in the Masters of Applied Psychology (Community Psychology) online, as well as some short (non-award) community psychology courses that may be taken for professional development purposes. Please bookmark this site for further reference.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many Community and Critical Psychologists and graduate students who responded to our call for their profiles to be displayed on this website. We believe that these biographies do a wonderful job of showcasing the rich and fascinating work being done by community psychologists alongside communities around Australia.
In the near future we will be inviting contributions for the "What is Community/Critical Psychology"section of the site. Stay tuned.
We would also welcome any further contributions to the website. Please contact either Julie or myself via the site or this email address should you wish your profile to be displayed, or if you have comments or suggestions.
The Community Psychology Australia facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/communitypsychologyaustralia) and twitter account (@commpsychAU) is now also linked to the website.
Warm regards,
Dr Julie van den Eynde and
Kyli Hedrick
