from the  Domestic Abuse Intervention Project Duluth, Minnesota.

An effective integrated community response to family violence is much more than a monthly meeting.  Collaboration is important but an effective integrated community response provides a process for legal systems and support services to analyse family violence cases and systems to explore and implement meaningful changes in practice that support safer outcomes for victims and accountability for those using violence.

 

Learn:  

?                                                                                                                                             the key elements of a 'Duluth-model' coordinated community response

?                                                                                                                                             how to identify strategies to address complex problems faced by agencies

?                                                                                                                                             how to build an integrated community response to family violence 

 

This training will be valuable for workers from family violence support services, men's behaviour change programs, the police, the justice system, child protection, mental health  practitioners,  education and housing sectors, counsellors, private practitioners,  and people who are interested  in  building  an effective integrated community response to family  violence.
