Thank you for that Heather.
I was wondering if there was an opportunity to add to the brochure something about the values and principles of Community Psychology and the roles of Community Psychologists. I was missing key terms such as empowerment and ecological approach from the info on the APS website.
I found the 2004 leaflet from Manchester Metropolitan University very informative http://www.compsy.org.uk/compsyleaflet2004.doc (Paul Duckett's stamping ground I believe!)
I also found the following summary of CP core values and principles on the website of the NZ Psych Ass. http://www.psychology.org.nz/IComPA
Core values and principles which have been identified in community psychology are; social justice, empowerment and competence enhancement, diversity and cultural pluralism, cultural awareness and biculturalism, social innovation and social change, evaluation, community development and participation, collaboration and partnership, an ecological approach, systems perspective and a preventive approach to social problems. These values are consistent with those of the Code of Ethics for Psychologists Working in Aotearoa/New Zealand (2002).
Maybe the college could give the above some consideration.

That's a really good point Trudy - I'll check with APS about the possibility of our brochure being made available online. In the meantime, I think Lauren would still have a batch of hard copies that you can take along on August 6th.
