Hey!

 

Domestic violence can affect anyone at anytime in their life, but
women
are the most often affected group.  A group of students from Murdoch
University (including me!) are organising an awareness-raising event
about domestic violence. 

 

The event 'I Will Not Fall' will take place on 6th December 2008 at
Ginger's Garage in Northbridge, and will feature performances by some
amazing WA artists including Nat Repipi, Djiva, Hayley Beth, Damien
Thornber and the Orphans, One Tiger Down and Zxspecky.  Entrance fee
is
$15 and all proceeds raised will be donated to Zonta House Refuge,
which
is a refuge for single women who have been subjected to domestic
violence.  The event is supported by Amnesty International and the
Murdoch University Guild of Students. Guys and gals are all welcome
:-)
