Join this creative research project exploring Asian migration in our State Archives with Gabby Loo and Steven Finch, James Sykes Battye Creative Fellows 2018, in an interactive workshop that creates artistic responses to our shared local history.<br>
<br>
Imagined Migrant Futures is a creative research residency at the State Library of Western Australia that explores the representation of Asian migration in the James Sykes Battye Library of West Australian History. IMF uncovers gaps and elisions in the archive
that speak to a racial imaginary of a White Western Australian heritage, and proposes a more equitable and accurate history of inheritance for WA through Asian migrant representation.
