Hello all

I received this message about an unpaid internship opportunity only today, so it may all be a bit too rushed. It is worth reading the information in the link below to get a sense of the application process (the form itself does not require much) and also eligibility criteria in relation to qualifications (about to complete or completed).

Something to remember for future years perhaps!

Best wishes
Gaby

Subject: United Nations Multimedia Resources Unit (AV and Photo Libraries) Internship announcement - Spring 2025

Dear Australian Library and Information Association,
The United Nations Multimedia Resources Unit (MRU) UN AV Library<https://media.un.org/avlibrary/en> and/or UN Photo Library<https://dam.media.un.org/> is offering spring internships at UNHQ in New York City. As an international organization, we welcome applicants from around the world. Please note that internships at UNHQ are unpaid and with no stipend, but if selected, the candidate will be granted a visa to U.S. for the internship. If you know any students or recent graduates who might be interested, I would greatly appreciate it if you would share this listing:
https://inspira.un.org/psc/UNCAREERS/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/UN_CUSTOMIZATIONS.UN_JOB_DETAIL.GBL?Page=UN_JOB_DETAIL&Action=A&SiteId=1&JobOpeningId=252182&PostingSeq=1
Conversely if you suggest institutions in your country that would be good to reach out to, I would be happy to do so.
In addition to the general description of the internship description included in the posting above, we anticipate the intern will work with either our enterprise-scale DAM or MAM system, depending on their assignment.
If you have any questions or anything I can clarify, please don't hesitate to reach out.
With kind regards,
Ariana
