Join us for a FREE seminar at the National Archives of Australia's WA Office,

Capturing WA: government photographers in Western Australia

Explore photographs of Western Australia from the archives and hear about the government photographers who captured these images.

Travelling the breadth of the country, Australian Government photographers for the Australian News and Information Bureau captured Australian people, places and practices.  A selection of these images depicting Western Australia from the 1940s to the 1980s are showcased in our upcoming exhibition Sea to suburbia: this is WA opening at National Archives of Australia in Perth on Tuesday 14 May 2024.
