Good afternoon,

I am contacting you on behalf of Rebecca French and I to let you know that we are recruiting for the Victorian Electoral Commission's (VEC) Senior Advisor Information Protection (SAIP).

This is an exciting secondment or contract opportunity to join our established Information and Knowledge Management team on a full-time, six month basis with the possibility of extension.

The role

  *   The role reports directly to Rebecca and will lead the day-to-day information security function and provide policy advice on operational initiatives and projects.
  *   They will also provide high level advice on existing and potential information and data management related issues and risks.
  *   They be leading the development and implementation of the VEC's 2022 Protective Data Security Plan and the activities to support continuous compliance with and improved maturity against the VPDSS. Including projects to implement better incident management, monitoring and training.
  *   They will bring qualifications or professional experience in information security, privacy or data protection.

What will they walk into?

  *   We have recently developed a VEC Security Strategy and action plan that includes all of the security domains
  *   We have an ambitious security program, that is led by the VEC's Security Committee with the involvement of security managers from across the organisation.
  *   We are committed to working with our external networks - formal and those we make.
  *   We work closely with IT, change management, and project management colleagues.
