Library Casual Staff
11100 - Library Assistant - up to $37.3863 per hour including casual loading
The Library Assistant is responsible for providing quality customer service to the community and users across the City of Karratha libraries. They may assist with the delivery or programs and provide customer service to patrons.

Library Officer - up to $43.1873 per hour including casual loading
The Library Officer is responsible for providing quality customer service to the community and users across the City of Karratha libraries, through the maintenance and development of library and information services and community programs. They may be responsible for opening and closing of the facilities and cash handling.

Library Officer - Part Time - Wickham/Roebourne
Salary Package: $95,295 per annum pro rata plus super (Inclusive of Library loading) 60 hours per fortnight

The City of Karratha is offering an opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Library Officer, to join our Library Services team on a part time basis. This exciting position will be based primarily between Wickham and Roebourne however will be required at times to work across all City of Karratha Libraries. The Library Officer is responsible for providing quality customer service to the community and users across the City of Karratha libraries, through the maintenance and development of library and information services and community programs. The role may also assist in the management of the collection, delivery of Rhyme-time and Story-time programs and the development of programs and activities that cater to our patrons with additional needs and our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) communities.

The City are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced team leader for the role of Librarian eServices. The library service consists of 2 branches. We pride ourselves on our customer service and community outreach. This role provides overall systems administration and support for the Library Management System, website content and online public access catalogue management for the City's public libraries. We are part of the One Library system, which is a consortia of South West libraries working collaboratively to ensure our members have access to a shared collection.
The successful applicant will have substantial experience in the administration, support and enhancement of business and management information systems and:

  *   A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or Librarianship and/or a combination of experience, expertise and competence relevant to the position.

  *   Demonstrated ability to manage web-based content (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and web CMS).
  *   The ability to build and maintain strong business relationships in the provision of business systems improvement and support.

The City of South Perth (the City) is seeking applications from candidates to undertake the position of Senior Branch Librarian to join the Library Services Business Unit.

The City's talented workforce prides itself on delivering excellent service to the community, and is a unique and vibrant Western Australian municipality. Located only 4kms from the Perth CBD, the City borders the stunning Swan River on its Northern and Western boundaries, and boasts excellent access to important social, commercial and leisure infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the branch library operations to ensure delivery of an innovative Library Service and to provide support and guidance to employees to contribute effectively to the overall operations and continuous development and improvement of the Library Service.

The Senior Branch Librarian will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of Library activities, services and programs. The role will actively contribute to the provision of a comprehensive, relevant and responsive library and information service with a high focus on customer service.

To be successful in this position you need to demonstrate;



Essential:

* Tertiary qualification allowing eligibility for Associate Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.

* High level verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with direct teams, customers and other internal and external stakeholders

* High level written communication skills with ability to produce advanced financial and administrative reports

* Highly developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to use initiative and set own work priorities with minimal supervision

* Excellent customer service skills and an ability to develop and promote a culture of customer service excellence

* Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to adapt and utilise sound decision-making

* Well-developed budgeting and financial management skills, including grant funding

* Well-developed reference and information seeking skills

* Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead employees and in coaching individuals to build capable teams

* Advanced competency with computer software programs, including Microsoft Office, financial systems and Library Management Systems with high level information technology skills

* Previous knowledge, experience and skills in a senior management role within a public library environment, including employee management

* Current 'C' class driver's license or mechanism to be able to transport yourself between 2 library branches at your own expense

* Current National Police Clearance



Desirable:

* Ability to apply marketing and promotional principles in a public library environment

* Understanding of community development principles and the role of libraries in community development



This permanent position is a level 8 which attracts a salary of $94,997 - $109,732 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
