Dear students

Just a reminder that the Edna Maskell Travel Scholarship is still open for applications. If you have completed 75 credits or more in a LARIS course, you are eligible to apply for the Edna Maskell Travel Scholarship. Applications are due on August 11.

GET FREE SUPPORT FROM CURTIN TO TRAVEL AND LEARN
The Edna Maskell Scholarship <https://scholarships.curtin.edu.au/Scholarship/?id=6596> was created to support postgraduate students in Libraries, Archives, Records, and information Science to travel for a learning experience, like a conference. Up to $3,000 can be awarded.

There are some great conferences that you could attend - so please do consider submitting an application.
For example:

  * Australian Library and Information Association national conference - in May 2024<https://alianational2024.alia.org.au/home/> (Adelaide).
  * Australian Society of Archivists annual conference - 2023<https://www.archivists.org.au/conference/conference> in September this year. It will be around the same time, different location, in 2024.
  * Records and Information Management Professionals Alliance conference - 2023<https://www.rimpa.com.au/events/rimpa-live-2023.html> in October this year. It will be around the same time, different location, in 2024.
  * International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions congress - it may be too late for this year but see information for 2023 and 2024<https://www.ifla.org/future-congresses/>.

Please don't hesitate to contact me (or the Scholarships office) if you have any questions.
Best wishes
Gaby
