Library Officer

Part Time – Fixed Term

The City is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated person who is committed to providing top quality client centred and innovative public library service to clients of all ages and circumstances. The role undertakes duties to support the efficient provision of library and information services and programs.
The initial appointment will be based at both Success and Spearwood Public Libraries. This position primarily provides customer service delivery, and reshelving of library items. There may at times be the opportunity to present programmes for library customers, in particular to children and toddlers. Applicants must understand, however, that they may be required to work at any of the three branch libraries.
Essential experience, qualifications and skills required to apply:
· Completed Year 12 or TAFE Certificate III or IV in Library and Information Services
· Excellent spoken, written and digital literacy skills
· Previous experience working with children is desirable
Hours / Roster: 38 hours per fortnight, initially working the following roster:

8.30-11.30am (Success)

No work

This position is to cover a period of leave and will end on 6 April 2024

Hourly rate: $33.41/hr up to $36.10/hr, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
