Hello all students

The Australian Library and Information Association is asking for feedback on their plans for the future of the LIS workforce - known as Professional Pathways. It goes without saying that I believe a tertiary qualification is a critical component of being recognised as a professional, whether it be for nurses, teachers or librarians.

ALIA has asked that we distribute a request for students to respond to their survey. Please read the email below for more information and a link to the survey if you choose to respond. I would encourage you to read some of the documentation on ALIA's Professional Pathway page as this will give you a better idea of their thinking to date.

Results and data from this consultation phase will be analysed and feed into a Consultation Report to be published in early 2023, and underpin a second consultation phase in mid-2023.
