Archivist - Fire Rescue Victoria

This role is Fixed Term until October 2022.

The Archivist position assists in undertaking strategic Records and Information Management projects and major research enquiries; assists in conducting audits and business analysis; appraisal of FRV business records and assist in governance programs pertaining to the management of FRV business records and information - which will also support the ongoing management of inactive records as per relevant legislation, standards and includes public access frameworks.

The Archivist will provide specialist advice on archiving and preservation of all FRV information and records to ensure FRV records and information are kept or disposed of according to the Retention and Disposal Authority of Public Records Office Victoria (PROV) and FRV.
This role will conduct compliance activities such as auditing and appraisal of records in accordance to Retention Schedules of PROV and the FRV. The process includes making judgment decisions on the value, status and retention of FRV records and information.
