Russell Reynolds Associates, a tier one global executive search & leadership advisory firm, is seeking experienced researchers to join their Melbourne or Sydney offices.

Researchers are an integral member of the search team and work closely with a Partner to support clients through the lifecycle of complex projects. This involves meeting with clients, developing a search strategy, identifying, approaching and qualifying prospective candidates, and preparing detailed reports for the client.


To be successful in this role, you will have the skills to manage research for multiple projects and coordinate and influence stakeholders, so that projects can be delivered effectively and on time. You will be degree qualified, have a strong attention to detail, have a deep interest in people and the corporate sector , possess excellent verbal and written communication, and be adept at delivering in a fast-paced, demanding environment. You will have at least four years’ experience in a research/information management role.

The role:
Russell Reynolds Associates is seeking to appoint one or more outstanding individuals to join its Australian offices (Melbourne or Sydney). A researcher is involved in a wide variety of activities including the entire value chain of the search process, from assisting consultants in the identification of business development opportunities through the executive search process to the closure of an assignment. While the role is varied, key responsibilities include:

  *    Formulating a compelling search strategy and contributing to its execution
  *   Participating in the search process, balancing multiple projects
  *    Participating in the search process, balancing multiple projects
  *   Producing comprehensive assignment reports, detailing target companies, possible market sources and candidates
  *   Identifying and developing “best in class” high quality diverse candidate slates
  *   Liaising with international colleagues to fully leverage the firm’s global network by sharing ideas and best practice


The person:
The successful candidate(s) will be bright, smart, intuitive, intellectually curious, collaborative, results oriented, and will have:

  *   a degree from a respected institution
  *   at least four years’ relevant work experience
  *   excellent listening skills
  *   the ability to filter large amounts of information, quickly identify the salient points and provide relevant insights
  *   superior communication & interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to interact credibly across organisational levels
  *   high level writing skills and ability to produce quality, well-structured documentation for clients
  *   good project management skills – outstanding time management and ability to prioritise
  *   proficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
  *   sound judgement
  *   drive for and commitment to excellence
