RIMPA Branch Excellence Awards
Nomination Closing Date Extended!

We have had feedback that with the impacts of last year, many of you are wanting to nominate but have been time poor, meaning you haven't been able to compile your nominations.  So, this news will give you cause for celebration - the closing date for award nominations has been extended as follows:

•    Qld Branch - nominations will close on 9th April 2021 (award announcements will be during the Building Trust in Townsville Conference being held in May)
•    All other Branches - nominations will close on 30th April 2021 (award announcements will be during Branch events being held in July)

2020 was a year that was like no other.  Bushfires, floods and a global pandemic hit Australia and New Zealand hard.  In all this, us as records and information professionals have had to continue to provide services and much needed advice to our organisations.  We've enabled the standing up of work from home environments, implemented (and in some unfortunate cases) carried out our disaster management plans, used AI in ways we never thought, looked at the governance of R&IM from very different angles than we were ever use to or have had to in the past.  These and many more outstanding achievements and successes during the tumultuous times are shining examples of ideal nominations for a RIMPA Branch Excellence Award.

I encourage you all to look back at the year you've had and celebrate and acknowledge your achievements through a nomination.  These awards, presented by all Branches of RIMPA, recognise outstanding achievements and contributions to the records and information management industry through the practical application of initiatives in the records and information management industry.

The awards are presented in the following categories:

•    New Professional
•    Outstanding Student
•    Outstanding Group – Initiative or Organisational/Industry Related
•    Outstanding Individual
