Bruce Ibsen, University Archivist at UQ informed me of the following - this is a fantastic opportunity so please consider submitting an application to volunteer. Bruce recommends applying as soon as possible and no later than mid-August. Follow the link below for more information and to apply:

You may be aware that the Australian Society of Archivists will be holding their annual conference in Brisbane on the 14th-17th September at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

As a member of the local conference organising committee I am responsible for finding student volunteers to help with the conference.  Being at an event such as an annual conference provides the volunteer with an opportunity to liaise and network with professionals in the archival community from around Australia.  Coupled with the chance to listen to some of the most important minds in the professional community.

I was hoping you could pass this message along to any students in the Brisbane area who might be able to help out.
