Impact the Community in a Big Way!

The Community Learning Librarian is responsible for coordinating the planning, development and delivery of library programs across the City's libraries and developing partnerships that strengthen the delivery of support and service to the Canning community.

Reporting to the Manager Community Learning, you will perform duties such as:

  *   Developing innovative community learning programs that meet the objectives of the Learning City Strategy.
  *   Developing a recurring calendar of workshops and events for delivery in the library service.
  *   Creating and implementing marketing and engagement plans to develop physical and digital promotional material.
  *   Sourcing and coordinating suitable program presenters.
If successful, you will enjoy:

  *   Part-time 64 hours per fortnight.
  *   Free Gym Membership across our Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes.
  *   $77,090.74 - $81,878.01 per annum pro rata + super.

You will have formal library qualifications or similar experience at a professional level. Proven experience in developing and delivering innovative community learning programs and events is essential, as well as the ability to develop internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks. A current satisfactory National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check is also required.
