Dear MCASI Staff,
I hope you are all doing well in Week 9 of Semester 2. Last time l emailed an update was late August so l just wanted to send through an update so l am keeping in contact with everyone in MCASI and letting you know that l and my fellow SSSO are still here :)
Recent Board of Examiners
I would like to thank everyone who attended or was involved in the recent OUA Study Period 2 Boards that was held on Tuesday. A big thank you goes out to those Unit Coordinators who met all the set deadlines. These deadlines are very important and are set to ensure a smooth Boards process.
Upcoming Board of Examiners
As we know Boards are never ending in MCASI and I have listed below the Boards that are coming up in the next month.
* Trimester 2A - Monday 26th October 2020
* OUA Session 2 - Tuesday 24th November 2020
* Semester 2 - (See attached Planner)
Please note these dates down if relevant to you.
Semester 2, 2020 Commencement updates
We have all made it through to week 9 of semester 2, GO US!!!
* International Students - As you would be aware there are a lot of International Students who are unable to come into Australia at the moment. Due to visa requirements these students have been instructed to enrol into the Internal availabilities of units still, so can you all please ensure you are checking in with your International students to see they are ok and have what they need to succeed in your units.
* Leave of Absence - Leave of Absences will now be approved by Donna (DHoS) and then processed by me or one of my colleagues.
* Final Sign off - Any Change of Result forms, Assessment appeals, Intermediate Awards, Readmission after termination or Course Switch will be finalised by Donna on Wednesday's.
* Outstanding Grades - Any Academic with outstanding grades have been sent an email. So could l urge all who have received an email please get back to me as soon as possible.
Student Bulk Emails and OCC's:
Incidentals and Materials - All students have now had a sanction placed on their account and majority have now paid this.
Change of Results
There are still plenty of students with outstanding grades that are due to extensions, academic misconduct, OA/DA's, Paused units etc. Can you all please ensure as these grades are finalised you are sending them through to MCASIStudents at curtin.edu.au<mailto:MCASIStudents at curtin.edu.au>. If you can please make sure you send through the below information, it will make it a much more efficient process to have these processed:

* Year:
* Old Result:
* New Results (E.g. 6/60):

Referring Students
As you are all aware that l no longer sit within the school. If you have a student ask you questions in person, please ensure you are directing these students to Curtin Connect in Building 102. All students wanting to speak with someone in Student Services over the phone are to call 1300 888 222, or lodge an email via the link below https://students.connect.curtin.edu.au/ (these contacts are in your Unit Outlines). Please note there has been background work in both these systems which will redirect students to our phone lines or our email queues if they need to speak with us.
Staff Contact Enrolments team
If staff are wanting to contact our main enrolments team, could l please ask that any communication goes to their generic mailbox SSEnrolments at curtin.edu.au<mailto:SSEnrolments at curtin.edu.au>. Could l please also ask that nothing be sent to staff members personal email addresses, within the enrolment team. Leah and Liz have also asked if they could be copied into any emails as appropriate (this doesn't mean that either of them will respond, but only that they are kept in the loop with things).
