Position Title:   Library Technician

School/Office:  University Library, Broome Campus

Level:                  4, Step 1. $37,194 pa, inclusive of $31,986 salary pa, 13% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading

Type:                   Part-time 0.5FTE, Continuing
The University Library, Broome Campus is seeking an experienced part-time (0.5FTE) Library Technician to join the team on a continuing basis.

This position is responsible for assisting with day to day operations of the Library, including provision of access to library materials in accordance with established policies, procedures, collection maintenance, circulation and reference services and supervision of casual staff. The position is also responsible for contributing to the development of the University Library policies and procedures, identifying and resolving problems as they arise and escalating complex issues to appropriate colleagues for resolution.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines. Experience in copy-cataloguing and document delivery/interlibrary loan services is desirable.
