We currently have a rare opportunity for two experienced librarians to join the Library and provide services to the Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Health Sciences. You will work closely with all Library teams to ensure the Library is aligned with Faculty needs, and work closely with Faculty to ensure they are aware of and engaged with Library services.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing information, training and education support to academic staff and research students.
• Designing and delivering training programs on accessing information sources.
• Promoting Library services, resources and facilities.
• Understanding the scholarly needs of the Faculty and communicating these to the Library.
• Evaluating information needs that are not being met.
• Providing information that will assist with planning, policy development and new initiatives.
You will bring to the role:
• A professional qualification in librarianship and considerable relevant professional experience.
• Outstanding information management skills, with a thorough understanding of new and emerging technologies used to access to information resources.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
• The ability to provide innovative approaches to problem-solving.
• A teaching or training qualification (desirable).
• Librarian experience in a tertiary education institution (desirable).
• Experience in leading a team (desirable).
