We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Librarian, with strong interpersonal skills, to join the Library’s Research and Copyright team and to work directly with our researchers to increase the exposure and impact of Curtin research through the University’s institutional repository espace.



In this role you will…

·         Contribute towards the development of, and delivery of, a range of services to support researchers, including the institutional repository, research data management, metrics, and scholarly publishing.

·         Undertake complex processing tasks in the institutional repository.

·         Work with the espace Coordinator to streamline repository workflows.

·         Develop and deliver education resources and training in a variety of formats in consultation with key stakeholders, including academic and professional staff.

·         Provide a dynamic advisory service to clients on matters relating to research, the institutional repository, and copyright, using a wide range of technologies.

·         Participate in espace team projects and shared activities as required.

We are looking for someone with…

·         Completion of a professional qualification in librarianship recognised for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.

·         Demonstrated communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of diverse groups and individuals.

·         Demonstrated ability to work well within a team situation and the ability to co-ordinate team activities or project work.

·         Demonstrated time management skills i.e. the ability to plan work outcomes and prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines.

·         Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to problem solving.

·         Demonstrated digital skills in using a range of software and platforms.

·         Experience as a trainer.
