We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Library Technician, with strong interpersonal skills, to join the Library’s Research and Copyright team and to work directly with our researchers to increase the exposure and impact of Curtin research through the University’s institutional repository espace.



In this role you will…

·         Assist clients with their queries and provide information about services and facilities.

·         Process publication records to provide open access to Curtin research outputs via espace.

·         Liaise with researchers regarding their publication records.

·         Liaise with publishers regarding open access permissions.

·         Liaise with higher degree research students and the Graduate Research School regarding the deposit of student theses in espace.

·         Contribute to ongoing review and improvement of repository workflows with the espace team.

·         Participate in espace team projects and shared activities as required.

We are looking for someone with…

·         Completion of a Diploma with relevant work experience, and/or eligibility for Library Technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.

·         Strong knowledge of a range of scholarly information resources and the ability and knowledge to access these resources regardless of format.

·         Outstanding computer skills especially with Integrated Library Management Systems, Database applications and the Microsoft suite of applications.

·         Relevant work experience in an academic Library environment.
