The ALIA Tasmanian Students and New Graduates Group (SNGG) invites GLAM students, new and old professionals (and any and all interested people) to an informal tour of the Mona library<https://secure-web.cisco.com/1tlrrSXc0_DqIx5a2ubZG61nAeEby_jYlCogpiOiZ1cNa1K-2cYXi3b_tKXqrAYGMYChEuwuA1pppE5BqXsugNido0BpSs2Hiwj8whvDNFENjW6C678ISJeifsVfaUaTWYQUVYILqphAV7jBvfCz13yRglSlmdQqWPIjG_GBFo3J8ppeeXuNAX9orPjuEKRoBVJr8YpaFOK74kWGDqNg3P7HhVcdZ4s4HiZVopM5KaIZfM2dL34XQFmXE-zFxhqp1OrsP_z0qqojeaw434a78WAiVTA6XyhGeySwLlQTVrwpX4q6BKvYBnasBYgfc1a_SF3WgBUQ7yYbNjAXpWmdtl9oeME9kL7lSPWluJT4VhNj-2QX9UwpKAgZ354BzA2R0-Y-ecwlSmiZ1TTZyqBNYnymZ8vEsF1A0GPrtFmlCUdeBQ8---87PACEWa78-z7y_9IoeFWAutZ30HNrYvKDtBDT5dmhTUbyIRqaQJekkdkQ/https%3A%2F%2Fmona.net.au%2Fmuseum%2Flibrary>, followed by social drinks at Faro bar<https://secure-web.cisco.com/1OS9-Tu6FD9yRmj8fG5TgFxoLUxwdKonpIqL7cSAln0zEX02wicarQub1yhu-HzzjMEP-dYzFwWHDby6EENElQIiUOFIEqS2n3xFHG98MMcKBQJUWe1nmHv72uXMNxWj08tqc0QGNMcGhMyuNG-U3vvvJfkGjB1eULMQWS4nN6Ldh3uoQ4saC3mJnuYttJOD0m__g5d2dFK12CYKKRLX7mC9AHkbQ3aNPaPY-fXuCgj_oyJW9_QyVLMD4U_dXc6uKLNkZxIVFMLbZoPiUyiH_jUc3kHOu25iXHIa6gvhynPrwX5IIQQTQ2An-OwK1GiRZGpThP7I_rEUtpeRPkBwiYqftKFevKV9kF0PBRGEYQxI41PySlP44mQIPapsgEw03as9c9xr-id5kU5-Qgw-swFeuHwuf_ETAayBB4TONA4deuumevlXOdeTwJyXakV6ePboU4i97111N5HRTkMKs7S8yCWhFBNvq1ZHGYdnTJGI/https%3A%2F%2Fmona.net.au%2Feat-drink%2Ffaro> in the museum's new(ish) Pharos<https://secure-web.cisco.com/1EdNlisREvoCuvsn1aWGkamcelZq2jeK7aJeMKk5AEjwmeoWMvPZCn3Kc0qEYg9ZFBO4_Rr2Qjq7BtBw6-ZLGwByuv_LfVfH6jRCqezxeO0xkQkkTj49ox1PHNe6gjk8cvI9YNN2ut87lCWuowTaR8v6aKbJ46CHxqJ5Ah4P-QWyzBuQKv9Gmlco1UIhjnXSt9Y_vYKTJ7z9pvDEckbk9cd555eCHlFktDuabmh8DlwIoNkVvnoy-bqky4DGGydtRG4plVkFPoa_AMfsBaB0EH2sUo9zMiQHk0vnzr9lrbWZS4724DH4aY_jTVuhEPAPSOaxQS-Q8lLFyVbGvoGt3KqAwn80dBdAxE_jb-P9AW2jI_J9iy7NeV-NmsfbatBNVRCF5PUa7zU8sHb1hp1xA3sC3EkVoJ1DbZq8vgNCAdOr2rKOmCYUGzf9qYYlvN3IcIwtOtZY3NXPdvE7bH7DdixVOvAjWA0eqhH48G2B7Igk/https%3A%2F%2Fmona.net.au%2Fmuseum%2Fpharos> wing.
At drinks, I would also like to discuss potential future events or opportunities for a Tasmanian SNGG. If you're interested in future events and cannot come to this one, please email me at lucy.hawthorne at mona.net.au<mailto:lucy.hawthorne at mona.net.au> and I'll add you to my list of interested people.

The details:
Where: Mona (Museum of Old and New Art), 655 Main Road, Berriedale. Meet in the Mona library.
Pro tips: allow 20 minutes from the carpark, ferry or bus stop to the library. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the entrance of the museum to the library (more if you get lost - which can easily happen), and it's a 2-5 minute walk from the carpark depending on availability. It's also a great opportunity to make a day of it and visit the new exhibitions, including Simon Denny's Mine (perfect for metadata enthusiasts!) and Gorillas in the Midst, as well as the new Ai Weiwei and Alfredo Jaar installations in Pharos. Don't forget your Tasmanian ID so that you can get a free entry ticket (for non-Tasmanians tickets are $28/$25<https://secure-web.cisco.com/15yN5FxOuPLcHeZHZjctdy-BPhyIqSWfKrFVN1j13E7Yu6ehfbMqdw-F4esvbF4ggYQjIU9p7dnS-RwAPbIk0rjg6B_PzM4WqetLeUt5IZBkoMeCQ1n2OjuWM9fi5X98Ip8gygveAdlcAsJDkIn_zkY7doil6I6BzUe_uBgHkwIkN-isH1flmQyLAyBdXOF01OT4z_P8cV_DEymg2vadDNI7q9ZUqq1L310HPJhJNiIqSydyMv834ts24Teg5ASOEaXlVlQCW3iqf3Vq5tJ9sMaX6F1Po-OFGi6qJ8zQOGXLJMR0-irs7owgwH9UqvOJM3YLb6MRB72olaFy_JEBWgwo3pzkfEm9Qya1K4FQVVMxC9WPja_8QAKK60B8P_NdOL6_qhnU4M6rCn9q1AryQ5-c9aL5FVGjSjuvRoR9TpFr0oCdPWWiT7bWAT5mLvNZGml4lkkL8CjvkDCLiTkA23pSD6xiEUU7IjzDf3LQ38hg/https%3A%2F%2Fmona.net.au%2Fvisit%2Fadmission>)
When: Saturday 27 July 2019. 4.15pm for the library tour; 5pm for Faro (drinks at own cost).
RSVP: Email Lucy Hawthorne (Tasmanian regional coordinator, SNGG) at lucy.hawthorne at mona.net.au<mailto:lucy.hawthorne at mona.net.au> preferably by the 24th July so that I can book a table at Faro.
