[MCASIlaris] Apply for our grant to attend Public Libraries WA Masterclass

Are you keen to attend Public Libraries WA’s Content Masterclass - Creating Collections for Future Communities on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 August that was advertised on WAIN recently? Are you a recent Curtin graduate?
Curtin’s LARISA (Libraries, Archives, Records and Information Science Alumni) Chapter is on a mission to enhance the alumni experience of our graduates. The Chapter will sponsor one recent graduate to attend the masterclass, providing a grant to cover the full two-day registration fee for the successful applicant.
If you would like to be considered for this fantastic opportunity, please submit an expression of interest containing:

1.                Your full name, email address and phone number

2.                Your degree title and graduation year

3.                A statement explaining why you are interested in attending the seminar and how it would impact your career (max 500 words)

4.                A statement that your attendance, including time off work, is supported by your institution (if applicable)
Applications should be sent to larisa.curtin at gmail.com<mailto:larisa.curtin at gmail.com> by 9am AWST on Monday 19 August.
To be considered, you must have graduated from Curtin University within the last five years (2014 or later). Working in a public library is not a requirement to apply and participants from related fields (or not yet working in the field) are welcome to apply.
The successful applicant is required to submit a report to the LARISA Chapter Committee within a month of attending the masterclass outlining what they learnt and experienced. They must also consent to having their name, photo and report published on LARISA’s social media channels.
