Hello everyone,

Please pass this invitation on to anyone in your networks who you think might be interested. I’d also encourage anyone who is interested to register as I’ve had great feedback from participants in the earlier Bunbury workshop.

Open the Doors: Storytelling, digitisation and audience development

Unearth and share the stories woven into the photographs, artworks, ephemera, objects, memorabilia and recordings held in your collection.

This two-day, practical workshop provides an introduction to using your collection to share the culture and history of your community. Participants will learn how to identify and record significant stories, digitally capture their important items and combine these two things to attract local visitors and engage audiences online.

When: 4 and 5 December

Where: Mandurah Community Museum

Cost: $40 for MGAWA members (email mgawa at museum.wa.gov.au<mailto:mgawa at museum.wa.gov.au> or call 9431 8462 to get the discount code), $60 for non-members

Book online at: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/open-the-doors-storytelling-digitisation-and-audience-development-mandurah-tickets-50515531314<http://mail3.mandurah.wa.gov.au:32224/?dmVyPTEuMDAxJiZlYjI1NDlmZjRjNjRhMjJiZj01QkVCODQyQ182ODk3OF84Nzg1XzEmJmM2OWQzZTIzZmM5YzY1ZT0xMjIzJiZ1cmw9aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZ3d3clMkVldmVudGJyaXRlJTJFY29tJTJFYXUlMkZlJTJGb3Blbi10aGUtZG9vcnMtc3Rvcnl0ZWxsaW5nLWRpZ2l0aXNhdGlvbi1hbmQtYXVkaWVuY2UtZGV2ZWxvcG1lbnQtbWFuZHVyYWgtdGlja2V0cy01MDUxNTUzMTMxNA==>
