Position Title: Team Leader (Library Experience)

Position Classification: Level 6, ongoing,

$78,222 plus superannuation



About the role

The Library Experience Team Leader under the general direction of the Library Manager, Library Experience will be responsible for all service points within the six libraries across The University of Western Australia. This role is responsible for the development of processes and procedures for, lending, memberships, inquiries, tier 1 reference and tier 1 student IT support, as well as coordination and rostering of frontline staff. Together with the Library Experience leadership group, you will manage a central team of staff, providing leadership and direction to deliver a consistently high quality, professional, client-focussed service.



Key responsibilities

*         Lead staff across multiple UWA libraries delivering lending, memberships, inquiry, reference and student IT support services.

*         Supervise and manage staff

*         Coordinate a range of tasks relating to library spaces, collections, equipment, policies (including safe work practices), procedures, administration and projects.


*         Develop, document and maintain policies, procedures, processes, regulations and systems for efficient and effective operation.

*         Respond to complex and diverse student inquiries and act as a referral and escalation point for staff. Advise and liaise with the Library Manager (Library Experience) on strategic and operational issues. Other duties as required
