<p style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;line-height:125%"><span style="font-size: 9pt; line-height: 125%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black;">Don’t you feel proud to be in the Records & Information Management profession, and to appreciate how important it
is to manage documents. In particular, managing the whole lifecycle from creation to preservation or destruction and how it is important for our society and future generations.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;line-height:125%"><span style="font-size: 9pt; line-height: 125%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black;">It’s a glimpse into the past to see if we have learnt from history, or are we just simply repeating it?

<p style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;line-height:125%"><span style="font-size: 9pt; line-height: 125%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black;">It was interesting to note that the cabinet documents on display in the news report were all hardcopy. There was
the archivist flipping through the pages for the camera. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;line-height:125%"><span style="font-size: 9pt; line-height: 125%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black;">Whether in hardcopy or in electronic format, Records & Information Management still has a vitally important role
to play. One way of considering this is to ask yourself what will happen in 30 years time. We will have failed if the headline reads “there was nothing to be found in the archives”.
