library and information course and want to pursue a career in librarianship. </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">Preference will be given to applications with an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering or a degree relevant to
Architecture, Building and Planning although applicants with other degrees in other disciplines may also apply. Cadets must be undertaking postgraduate library and information studies in 2015 and 2016.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">During this time, cadets particularly draw upon their knowledge and skills from their undergraduate qualification to enhance
the quality of library services as well as developing breadth of experience through placements in other parts of the library, project work and working in different teams whilst undertaking part time study in librarianship. Opportunities are provided to develop
broader capabilities and leadership experience, according to the cadet’s interest and the Library’s strategic priorities.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
