Our first meeting will be in the form of a Speed Meet that will provide a relaxed way for those in the early part of their careers from across Victoria to congregate. <o:p></o:p></p>

More broadly it is becoming increasingly clear that those entering into the broader area of GLAMR continue to experience limited opportunities upon graduation, problems in navigating volunteer opportunities and challenges connecting with those who have just
established themselves in the area. Moreover as the broader sector faces the issue of sustainability into the future, there will be an increasing level of scope for collaboration between people, organisations and collections. If we study alongside each other,
we often lose those connections beyond the university environment; when we work in the same area, we often don't meet those in other organisations. In an effort to fulfil this need, GLAMR Professionals hopes to facilitate an ongoing space where those new to
the sector can have events and meet-ups across Victoria. <o:p></o:p></p>

There are no considerations of age, professional status or education for participating and getting involved. Just that you are early in your GLAMR career and want to meet other likeminded people from Victoria.
