<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified individual to fill a contract role as a full-time Library Technician, working within a friendly library team of three staff.

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Reporting to the Knowledge Manager, this position is primarily responsible for the technical maintenance of the library collection. This role will include<span style="color:#1F497D">
</span>duties such as serials management and current awareness circulation; legislation amendment; cataloguing; photocopying; inter-library loans; and organising book binding. A detailed duties list is available upon request.

<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">One of the important, challenging and interesting parts to this role is providing reference and research support to the lawyers in the firm.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">This position involves many varied duties meaning that the working day can be very different from one day to the next.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Applicants must have a confident manner with the ability to interact comfortably with other staff as well as with external suppliers. Applicants need to have a high level of computer literacy and
adaptability in order to be able to use, and to assist others in using, online research and information databases.<span style="color:#1F497D">
</span>Applicants must also be an able learner in order to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate self initiative.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Prior experience in law<span style="color:#1F497D">
</span>libraries or corporate business libraries is preferred, but not essential. Library and Information Studies student applications from students who have just completed their final year of tertiary study in this area<span style="color:#1F497D">,
</span>will be considered. Support and comprehensive training will be provided to those new to this specialist area of work. It is desired, but not essential, that applicants have experience in providing legal reference services and are familiar with legal
resources, in addition to possessing a good working knowledge of the library software
