<P>Expressions of interest are being sought for an APS 5 Knowledge Information Coordinator in the Knowledge, Library, Information and Media section (KLIM) in the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The position is for an initial period of 6 months with possible extension and will be located in the ABS central office in Canberra. The position is available immediately.<BR><BR>Qualifications in Library/Information Management would be an advantage.<BR><BR><B>About the Job</B><BR><BR>Duties may include some of the following:</P>

<LI class=MsoNormal>provision of reference/research services to ABS staff nationally
<LI class=MsoNormal>support of organisational knowledge management practices to the desktop
<LI class=MsoNormal>core library duties & administrative support
<LI class=MsoNormal>development and delivery of training. </LI></UL>
<P class=MsoNormal><BR><B>What qualities and skills are we after?</B><BR><BR>The person we are looking for will be highly motivated, enjoy challenges and possess the following attributes: </P>
<UL type=disc>
<LI class=MsoNormal>previous experience in libraries and/or information management
<LI class=MsoNormal>strong communication skills (good presentation skills would also be beneficial)
<LI class=MsoNormal>good client service and liaison skills and the ability to build productive relationships and networks with ABS workgroups
<LI class=MsoNormal>effective time and task management
<LI class=MsoNormal>planning, organisation and coordination skills
<LI class=MsoNormal>demonstrated initiative, drive and innovation skills </LI></UL>
