Springs offers a variety of unique services and community events. The
community consists of around 28,000 people and an endless supply of community
events and attractions including festivals, shows, camel races, dry river boat
races (Henley on Todd) and many more. You can camp, four wheel drive,
bushwalk in places like Palm Valley, Rainbow Valley, Hermannsburg, the
Larapinta Trail, there is a never-ending supply of entertainment and activities
throughout Alice Springs.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

is an integral part of the Alice Springs community and provides resources to
clients living over a 580,000 square kilometre area, some even in WA and
SA. The Children's and Youth Services Librarian plays such an important
role within this team. I have been fortunate enough to be performing this
role for the past 12 months, which has presented me with many unique
opportunities, including; radio interviews, dressing up as the library mascot
'Booka' the dog, participating in community events such as; the Bangtail
Muster, the Christmas Parade and the Desert Festival where we put on a live
show.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

multi-cultural community, there are so many tourists, it feels like you are
constantly on holidays. We have created not just a bi-lingual storytime,
but a multi-lingual storytime working with local people utilising local
languages.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
