The position is for a 3 month period from April to June 2009. The unit is responsible for the provision of the<BR>Departmental records management framework and services, secure cable<BR>distribution and outgoing mail. The occupant of this position will provide<BR>TRIM system administration and Help Desk services to the department as well<BR>as contribute to the effective management of the department's records and<BR>archives. A Top Secret clearance is required.<BR><BR><BR>Duty Statement<BR><BR>1. Provide TRIM Help Desk and system administration services for the<BR>department's records management system. Includes the responsibility for<BR>maintaining error logs, developing test plans, managing upgrades, producing<BR>configuration documentation, and providing training.<BR><BR>2. Support the strategic direction of the department's records management<BR>framework by identifying and implementing enhancements to operational<BR>processes and system functionality.<BR><BR>3. Deal with more complex or sensitive client enquiries, including the<BR>preparation of reports and correspondence relating to transfer of files<BR>resulting from Administrative Arrangement Orders and the transfer and<BR>retrieval of Royal Commission physical material.<BR><BR>4. Undertake project management of contracted staff involved in records<BR>management projects. Includes quality assurance of work undertaken to<BR>ensure compliance with disposal authorities, legislation, business and<BR>preservation requirements.<BR><BR><BR>Selection Criteria<BR><BR>a. Demonstrated experience in system administration of TRIM Context.<BR><BR>b. Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and standards relating to<BR>Commonwealth recordkeeping and experience in operational records management<BR>practices and procedures, including the ability to apply these within a<BR>records management system.<BR><BR>c. Demonstrated experience in managing projects through effectively managing<BR>priorities, liaising with stakeholders, building productive networks, and<BR>meeting deadlines under limited direction.<BR><BR>d. Well developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills,<BR>including the demonstrated ability to develop and present training material.<BR><BR>e.
