Greetings

The University Library is calling for preliminary expressions of interest for people interested in working with us as Library Assistants.

We anticipate that we will have a few vacancies of this sort at our Fremantle Campus in the coming months and would like to have a list of people who might be interested in taking this work. The vacancies might be in any of the three libraries at Fremantle – Craven (law), Galvin (medicine) and St Teresa’s (humanities & sciences). The work might be full time or part time but in the case of full time positions we are quite happy to negotiate for two part time staff to fill a vacancy between them.

The normal terms and conditions are a 37.5 hour working week (with no expectation of evening or weekend work) and a salary within the range of $38,185 to $42,463.

I have attached a document which lists the kinds of duties expected of these staff and the selection criteria we would use. The specific duties would be clear when we identify the vacancies and we would communicate these to interested parties at the time we look to fill the vacancy. We would in all likelihood need to undertake an interview process but by having expressed your interest now we can ‘fast-track’ that process.

You can register your interest by sending me your CV, either as an attachment to an email or in print.

Please contact me via email if you have any questions about the process, the documents or the University Library.

Regards
