The position of Team Leader Information and Records has been advertised to fill a pending vacancy.  This position offers an idyllic work location, and Blue Mountains City Council was one of the few councils that met the stringent requirements for “Fit for the Future”.

This role is responsible for leading and managing a team of records officers to deliver Council’s Records & Information Management Service. The position is also responsible for Council mail service including internal distribution.

In this role you will be responsible for developing organisational information management strategies and provide expert advice on information management to the organisation.  You will also be responsible for leading best practice approaches to records management that align with organisation strategic focus, while ensuring compliance to State Records Act, 1998 and its associated Standards and Guidelines.

Your ability to lead a team, manage projects, translate strategy into operational tasks and your strong understanding of records management requirements are critical. You will be responsible to drive ongoing development and enhancement of Council’s Records Management Program utilising well developed change management experience.
