Please express interest for the Australian Parliamentary Library ASAP as applications close this Friday 23 February.

1. Australian Parliamentary Library Internship (ACT) - 20 day LIBRARY practicum placement or internship work experience (UG or PG)

2. Sydney Living Museums (NSW) - 20 day RMA practicum placement or internship work experience (3rd year UG or PG)

Records Management - Museum Physical Archive Consolidation
This is a great opportunity for an information studies student to gain practical archiving experience. Working under guidance from the Records Systems & Administration Coordinator, the intern will work with older inactive physical records in the museum collection to assess, appraise, classify & register them into the electronic records management database (Content Manager). The intern will work primarily with hard copy files and will gain experience of applying the SLM Business Classification Scheme to title records and enter into the records database. The student will work within established frameworks to ensure compliance with the State Records Act.

1.      A completed Student Information form (attached).

2.      Letter of interest, outlining why you are interested in the internship and why you would be best suited to the project. This is the main part of your application and it should address the 'project description' and 'skills required' sections of the Project Outline.

3.      CV including grades for completed units of study.


3. Mentone Girls' Grammar (VICTORIA)- TBC 10 or 15 day LIBRARY practicum placement (UG or PG) WWCC required


4. State Library of Victoria (VICTORIA) -  15 day LIBRARY practicum placement (PG only) ONLY ONE STUDENT WILL BE TAKEN ON, PLS NOTE SET TIME FRAME CHOICE; WWCC required
 *         Monday 18 June - Friday 6 July OR

*         Monday 12 - Friday 30 November

5. Southern River College (WA) - 10 or 15 day LIBRARY practicum placement (UG or PG); WWCC required
