Subject: PhD scholarships for ARC-funded project about national and state library collections
Dear Pauline Joseph, dear Kathryn Greenhill,
My colleague Ian McShane and I are currently advertising two PhD scholarships for students to work on theses related to our ARC-funded project "Representing Multicultural Australia and National and State Libraries". One of the PhD projects is concerned with the State Library of NSW, and the student would ideally be based in Sydney. The other project is to do with the state libraries in Victoria and South Australia, and the student would ideally be based in Adelaide or Melbourne. Both PhD projects would ideally commence as soon as possible. Both students would be enrolled at RMIT.
Do you know of current or former library science graduates (or history, cultural studies or political science graduates with an interest in libraries) who might be interested in the scholarships? I would be grateful if you could circulate the attached call for expressions of interest.
The closing date is this Friday; however, we would consider late EoIs, provided the initial contact is made by Friday.
Many thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Klaus Neumann
