Would you like to know more about health librarianship? Maybe you are
unsure of what a health librarian actually does, the type of roles,
functions and responsibilities expected of them? Maybe you would love to
hear about challenges and opportunities in the field of health
librarianship and get a better understanding of the industry in general? Or
maybe you just really love health librarianship and can't think of a better
way to spend a Wednesday evening!!
If so, the Curtin Information Studies (CURTIS) Club would love to give you
the chance to get these questions (and more!) answered by prominent health
librarian and HLA Convenor Ann Ritchie!! Join us on Wednesday the 11th of
April for an evening of all things health librarianship as Ann speaks about
the responsibilities, functions and roles of health librarians, as well as
discussing the challenges and opportunities for health librarianship. And
trust me, Ann would know!! Not only is Ann an exceptional Australian health
librarian, but as her awarding of an ALIA fellowship last year attests, Ann
has made a distinguished contribution and provided a long-standing and
dedicated service to health librarianship in general. We are extremely
lucky to have such a high calibre leader willing to speak with us and share
her experiences and knowledge so that we can make informed decisions about
our future direction in librarianship!!
This is an hour and a half you really do not want to miss and relevant to
so many of us in the profession! Register your spot on the Eventbrite page
today to avoid missing out!!
