Please consider applying for the Jean Arnot award if you are female and have written (or would be able to write ☺ ) an essay about any aspect of librarianship by 26 April 2017. Information below.

I would be happy to review any writing that students are considering submitting for the award.

Jean Arnot campaigned for equal pay for female librarians (among many other career achievements) and this is well worth applying for.

The State Library of NSW is calling for entries for the annual Jean Arnot Memorial Fellowship<http://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/fellowships/jean-arnot-memorial-fellowship>. The Fellowship is awarded to a female librarian or student of librarianship for an outstanding paper (5,000 words max) on any aspect of librarianship. Submissions must be emailed by 26 April 2017. An award of $1,000 will be presented to the winner at NSW Parliament House, Sydney on Friday 12 May 2017.
