Subject: [WAIN] 2017 Kay Poustie Scholarship - Call for Nominations

Nominations for the Kay Poustie Scholarship study grant are now open.

The Scholarship provides up to $5,000 to enable a candidate to undertake international research in innovative library services and practice that can be applied directly to benefit public libraries in Western Australia.

Candidates have an option to apply either to travel overseas on a study tour, or to attend a professional international conference.

Candidates must be qualified librarians or library technicians working in the public library network in Western Australia.

Nominations close 5:00pm Friday 7 April 2017.

Nominations for the Library Board of Western Australia Award for Excellence are now open.

The Award for Excellence is intended to recognize a particular service, event, program, piece of research, or partnership completed in 2016 by any person, library or organisation in Western Australia.

The award is a valuable opportunity for library practitioners to receive recognition for their achievements in the field of library practice.  The winner will be announced in May 2017 during Library and Information Week at an event at the State Library of Western Australia. Prize money of $5,000 is awarded.

Nominations close on 5:00pm Friday 7 April 2017.
